FEATURES >> CORE MANAGEMENT & OPERATIONS >> ROLLING R12 ANALYSIS
The Rolling R12 Analysis is a dynamic reporting feature that calculates safety performance metrics (such as Frequency and Severity rates) based on a continuous 12-month window rather than a fixed calendar year. As each new month of data is entered, the oldest month is dropped, providing a constantly updated 12-month aggregate.
Eliminates Seasonality: Traditional year-to-date (YTD) stats can be misleading in the early months of the year due to low data volume or seasonal spikes. R12 provides a stable baseline by always accounting for a full cycle of 12 months.
Real-Time Trend Identification: It allows HSE managers to see the "true" trajectory of safety performance. If the R12 line is rising, it indicates a genuine trend that requires intervention, rather than a one-off monthly fluctuation.
Time Machine Reconstruction: This functionality enables you to "travel back in time" and view exactly what the safety performance looked like at any specific point in history, facilitating accurate historical comparisons and long-term audits.
Board-Ready Consistency: It offers corporate leadership a smoothed, reliable view of performance that isn't skewed by the "reset" that happens every January 1st.
